A patriotic pont Neuf

IMG_1627TOULOUSE, France – The pont Neuf (new bridge) is the oldest bridge in Toulouse and said to be very substantially constructed – which one would hope since it took a whole century to build. We’re told it was finished around 1632 and has since withstood significant flooding of the Garonne River below. On our visit, Pont Neuf was lit patriotically in blue, red and white in remembrance of those lost in the Bastille Day attacks just a few days prior.
